The Illinois GIS Initiative

This act provides for the collaboration of municipalities and counties for regional planning.  Except for the ommission of educational institutions and state agencies, it is very close to supporting GIS goals.

This is the act that established CMAP - which is part state based and part non-profit.

Language authorizing the county recorder fee to assist with GIS funding.

This act created the IL Green Governments Council - which is set up very similarly to what we are looking for in GIS, and was established with an executive order.
