hoods are not allowed in any casinos, it is for security reasons so if you do something illegal they can recognize you on the security cameras.
It is NOT against the law…but it IS a security concern at EVERY Vegas hotel/casino. Every casino security will IMMEDIATELY flag you as a person of "concern" just for having it on. The security person who spoke to you was probably sent by their surveilance that had been watching you from the moment you walked into view of their first camera! (Not joking, I have friends and clients who RUN the security/surveilance for some of the major in town, and I used to help run/manage/open of these Security probably needed to be able to see your face enough to make sure you a criminal' on record…seriously.
Security in Vegas watches EVERYONE that enters their for your protection..but also theirs There are teams of pickpockets and other thieves/cheats (commonly referred to in the security world as who target people in the hotel & casino…and prefer to avoid cameras, of course. Most of them are on a security list of "known criminals"…but of course, team members change.
REMEMBER: Even if it a law…a business always has "the right to refuse service to anyone"…unless a Constitutionally protected Right…and hoodies/etc qualify. need to know who is on their their casino…trumps peoples right to obscure their faces.
ALSO…"masks" are not allowed to be worn in the casinos either. It may sound silly to say that…but Vegas celebrates Halloween too…BIG TIME!!! So, if you come around Vegas during that "prime time"….just know have to walk through the casino "unmasked"…you can always put the mask back on once you are at the venue or NOT walking through the casino.
Note: T.I. Security and Metro Police all watch the "Siren" show outside on the sidewalk of T.I. as closely as possible..and if you are "hooded" there…yep…you WILL be watched. *I DO highly recommend in Vegas for Halloween whenever possible…lol…IF you are single or your somene(s)' are coming with you for the fun!!!
Regarding issues like this…I "love" quoting David Chapelle in one of his standup comedy skits…"You may not be a ____ but you ARE wearing the uniform!" …in ANY security eyes…if your identity needs to be hidden or obscured, they need to watch you! Sorry…but yeah, always be hassled to drop the hood in ANY Vegas casino.
Just saying the "real world" truth.
There are places where wearing a hood is kind of forbidden. Heck, I even wear sunglasses into the bank.
